Both Alan Stacey and Linda Spencer are titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists.
All AHPR registered physiotherapists practising in Australia must have recognized tertiary qualifications.
Further to these undergraduate qualifications and after at least 2 years of clinical experience physiotherapists can elect to engage in postgraduate studies in their area of special interest.
These courses are one or two years of full time study resulting in a Post-Graduate Diploma or Master’s Degree. This entitles the therapist to be addressed as a Titled Physiotherapist and only such qualified physiotherapists are permitted to do so.
Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists are titled therapists who have completed such comprehensive training in the diagnosis and manual treatment of the ‘mechanical’ parts of the body including the joints, ligaments, nerves and muscles.
